Trip Notes
- Easter long weekend – drove down Thursday evening.
- Stayed at Montrose backpackers. Nice rooms – looks recently renovated.
- Climbed at Franz on Friday, then drove to Fox glacier village and stayed at Fox Glacier Inn.
- Accommodation at Fox was ok. Food in their restaurant wasn’t very good. Website said breakfast was included, but turned out it wasn’t.
- Messed around on Fox glacier, couldn’t get very far up as the seracs blocked our path and couldn’t find a way through.
- Drove home on Sunday morning.
- Must look at helicoptering in in future.
