Trip Notes
- Left Chch 6:30 and were ready to walk by 10:30.
- Got a lift from car park to end of 4×4 track. Glad we
- Made camp around 18:30.
- Incredible weather and views of Mt Cook.
- Avalanches on Caroline face all night long.
- Best bivy site we have ever had the priveledge of camping at
- Cup of soup is good
- Epic and exhausting trip, but very rewarding
Walking Times
- 1hr from end of 4×4 tack to Ball shelter.
- 3.5hrs Ball Shelter to Caroline hut.
- 1.5hrs Caroline hut to bivy site.
- 3hrs from bivy site to Ball pass.
- 5hrs Ball Pass to bottom of gully.
- 5hrs from end of gully to car park
