Attempt &nbsp;at Mount Mackenzie via Brodrick Pass.Mountain kicked our butts.<\/p>\n<h3>Day 1<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Left on the Thursday afternoon after work. Picked up Zoey on the way<\/li>\n<li>Did some epic 4x4ing through river beds and boggy patches<\/li>\n<li>Parked right outside Monument hut and stayed the night<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"ngg-singlepic ngg-none\" src=\"https:\/\/marvmis.simid.cloud\/wp-content\/gallery\/20121019-mt-mackenzie\/SAM_0972.JPG\" alt=\"SAM_0972\"><\/p>\n<h3>Day 2<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Hiked up the Hopkins valley then along the Huxley River<\/li>\n<li>Carried on past Forks Hut to Broderick hut<\/li>\n<li>Trail was washed away in some places from avalanche falls<\/li>\n<li>Slow going, but weather held.
