Day 1 – Chch to Cobb Cottage via Random Spur – 230km
Randon Spur was quite Muddy, we were filthy by the end of it. Quite hard going
It was a very good day, but we were getting pretty tired by the time we got to Cobb Cottage campsite on the Molesworth road. Plenty of gravel all day, witha bit of sealed road thrown in.
Day 2 – Molesworth to Island Gully Hut via Rainbow Road – 300 ish km
Rainbow road was closed on Saturday but re-opened on Sunday. We had hoped to pop up to the Altimarloch lookout, but the road was closed for login presumably.River crossings were scary and the lvery last stream crossing right before the campsite was quite deep, so feet got soaked. Hut was full, but we were planning on camping anyway.
Day 3 – Rainbow to Home
Up in the am and a quick dash home.
